ACC Announces 2007 ACC/ISP National Network and National Radio Games
GREENSBORO, NC -- Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford announced Tuesday that 22 of the league’s 2007 football games will be broadcast nationally by four national radio networks including a total of 14 over the ACC’s International Sports Properties (ISP) National Radio Network.
The ISP national schedule is topped off by the Third Annual Dr Pepper Atlantic Coast Conference Football Championship Game, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
Kicking off the ISP package will be the Labor Day Monday Night contest with Florida State traveling to Clemson for an 8 pm kickoff on Sept. 3. ISP will also broadcast five Thursday night games, all of which will have 7:30 kickoffs, including West Virginia at Maryland (Sept. 13), Texas A&M at Miami (Sept. 20), Florida State at Wake Forest (Oct. 11), Boston College at Virginia Tech (Oct. 25) and Virginia tech at Georgia Tech (Nov. 1).
ISP will also nationally broadcast the following Saturday games this fall: Nebraska at Wake Forest (Sept. 8, 12 pm); Alabama vs. Florida State (Sept. 29); Virginia Tech at Clemson (Oct. 6); Miami at Florida State (Oct. 20); Florida State at Virginia Tech (Nov. 10); Boston College at Clemson (Nov. 17) and Georgia at Georgia Tech (Nov. 24).
In addition to the ISP package, four other national radio providers—ESPN Radio, Westwood One, SportsRadio USA and Touchdown Radio will also broadcast ACC games nationally.
ESPN Radio will carry four ACC contests this fall including Boston College at Georgia Tech (Sept. 15, 8 pm); Florida State at Boston College (Nov. 3); Maryland at Florida State (Nov. 17) and Miami at Boston College (Nov. 24).
Westwood One will open its season by broadcasting the East Carolina at Virginia Tech game at 12 noon on Sept. 1.
Sports Radio USA will broadcast the Nov. 17 Miami at Virginia Tech contest.
Touchdown Radio will carry two ACC football games—the Sept. 29 Louisville at NC State game and the Oct. 13 Georgia Tech at Miami contest.
The total of 22 ACC games is the most the Conference has had broadcast over national radio networks in a single season. The previous high for the Conference was 16 games during the 2005 football season.
