Georgia Coach Mark Richt, Ten Bulldog Players To Participate in
Post-Season All-Star Games
ATHENS, Ga. - Georgia head coach Mark Richt and 10 Bulldog football
players have been invited to participate in postseason all-star games
during the month of January.
Richt will serve as head coach in the Hula Bowl game which will be
played on Sunday, Jan. 14. He will be joined in Honolulu, Hawaii, by
center Nick Jones, punter Gordon Ely-Kelso, and linebacker Danny Verdun
Wheeler. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
Three players are headed to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on
Saturday, Jan. 27: tight end Martrez Milner, defensive end Quentin
Moses, and linebacker Tony Taylor. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. EST,
and will be televised by the NFL Network.
Offensive lineman Daniel Inman, linebacker Jarvis Jackson, and rover Tra
Battle will also join the all-star game festivities with appearances in
the Las Vegas Bowl on Monday, Jan. 15. The Las Vegas Bowl begins at 1
p.m. EST and will be televised by the NFL Network.
Senior defensive tackle Ray Gant will be the lone Bulldog participating
in the Inta Juice North-South All-Star Classic on Saturday, Jan. 13, in
Houston, Tex. Kickoff is scheduled for noon EST and will be broadcast
on ESPN 2.
