Single-Game Tickets On Sale Monday, July 24
Fans can still purchase season tickets and three-packs
EVANSTON, Ill.-Single-game tickets for Northwestern's six 2006 home
football games go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, July 24. Tickets for home
games can be ordered by calling 847-491-CATS, visiting the Wildcats'
online ticket office (NUsports.com), or calling Ticketmaster. They
may also be purchased in person at the Ryan Field Ticket Office at
1501 Central Street in Evanston.
Single-game ticket prices are $30 for the two nonconference games
(New Hampshire and Eastern Michigan) and $20 for end zone seats. The
four Big Ten game ticket prices are $50 (Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio
State and Illinois) and $30 for end zone seats (No reduced-price
seats will be sold for the Ohio State game).
Northwestern will honor former head coach Randy Walker at the Sept. 9
New Hampshire game (Heroes' Day). A special commemorative item
honoring Walker will be distributed to a limited number of fans that
day.
For fans planning to attend multiple home games, the best deal is to
purchase season tickets ($116 to $180) or one of the three-pack
plans. The three-packs are between $100 to $120, and fans are invited
to several exclusive VIP events throughout the year. Northwestern is
also selling a family plan package ($360), which includes two adult
and three youth season tickets-a savings of $400 off the single-game
ticket price.
Group ticket discounts are also available for groups of 50 or more
for all games except Ohio State. In addition to half-price tickets,
all group leaders will receive a personalized NU replica jersey and
will be entered into a drawing for four tickets to the Ohio State
game on November 11. The group will receive a welcome message at the
game, as well as a select number of premium items and game programs.
Northwestern is coming off a 7-5 season that earned the 'Cats a berth
in the Sun Bowl. Northwestern is preparing for another exciting
campaign this fall, including home games against the defending Big
Ten co-champion Ohio State and the 100th all-time meeting with
Illinois.
The 'Cats are 9-3 at home the last two seasons, and they return 18
starters, led by National Freshman of the Year Tyrell Sutton.
