Rutgers to Honor Texas Bowl Champion Football Team Feb. 10
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 31, 2007) – The Rutgers football team, champions of the inaugural Texas Bowl, will be honored at halftime of the Rutgers men’s basketball game vs. Cincinnati on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the RAC. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. vs. the Bearcats.
The Scarlet Knights ended the 2006 season 11-2 overall and 5-2 in the BIG EAST. Rutgers tied a single-season school record with 11 victories and finished ranked 12th in both national polls, the highest season-ending ranking in school history.
