PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 16, 2007) – MSG will televise at least two Rutgers football games this season, including the 2007 season-opener for the Scarlet Knights vs. Buffalo. The opener will air live on Thursday, August 30 at 7 p.m. on MSG along with the Sept. 15 homecoming game vs. Norfolk State. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. vs. Norfolk State.
Michael Reghi will handle the play-by-play duties and Jim Donnan will serve as the color commentator for the Buffalo game on MSG.
To date, six Rutgers’ games will be televised in 2007, with additional opportunities available throughout the season. The Scarlet Knights are scheduled to appear on ESPN against Navy (Sept. 7), South Florida (Oct. 18) and at Louisville (Nov. 29). The Nov. 9 game at Army will be televised by ESPN2.
Rutgers has caught the nation’s attention in recent years, appearing on television in 35 of the last 36 games, including national television coverage for all 13 games in 2006.
